Waypoint Privacy Policy

Waypoint is a Discord bot for Hypixel Bed Wars communities. It shows Bed Wars stats, compares players, finds party members, and runs server features such as levels, Diamonds and a shop, tickets, suggestions and giveaways. Waypoint is run by Aspect7z ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Waypoint stores, why, how long it keeps it, and how to have it deleted.

What Waypoint stores
About you on Discord
- Your Discord user ID, username and display name, and the IDs of the servers and channels where you use Waypoint.
- What you do with Waypoint: which command, button or menu you used, when, in which server, and whether it worked.
Your Minecraft account, if you link one
- Your Minecraft name and UUID, and the history of which Discord account it was linked to.
- Copies of your public Hypixel Bed Wars stats taken over time, so Waypoint can show sessions, monthly and weekly progress.
- Your Hypixel rank and guild, as Hypixel shows them publicly.
Inside each server that uses Waypoint
- Your chat and voice levels, XP and time in voice.
- Your Diamonds, purchases, items and perks from that server's shop.
- Parties you host or ask to join, giveaway entries, suggestions and votes, invite records (who invited whom).
- Tickets you open, including what you write in the ticket form.
- Moderation records that server's staff create about you: warnings, timeouts, kicks and bans, with their reasons.
- If the server uses the snipe feature: the last deleted or edited messages in a channel, kept for 24 hours.
Your choices
- Your card theme from /theme and your party notification choices.
Waypoint reads messages in servers that use it to give chat XP, run drops and games, and power the snipe feature. It does not keep message text except as described above.
Waypoint does not collect your email address, IP address, payment details or real name, and it never asks for your Minecraft or Discord password.
Why Waypoint stores it
- To make the features you use work: showing your stats, levels and Diamonds, running parties, tickets and giveaways.
- To keep servers safe: moderation records, the blacklist, and limits that stop spam and abuse.
- To keep Waypoint working well: error logs and counts of how often each feature is used.
Waypoint does not sell your data, show you ads, or share your data with advertisers.
Services Waypoint talks to
To show stats, Waypoint sends Minecraft names or UUIDs (never your Discord details) to:
- Hypixel (api.hypixel.net) for Bed Wars stats, ranks and guilds.
- Mojang (api.mojang.com, sessionserver.mojang.com, api.minecraftservices.com, textures.minecraft.net) for names, UUIDs and skins.
- Skin and profile services (mc-heads.net, api.mineatar.io, api.crafty.gg, laby.net) to draw player skins and look up past names.
- Urchin (api.urchin.gg), where a server has Cheater Tags switched on, to show community reports about a player. These tags come from the Urchin community, not from Waypoint or Hypixel, and Waypoint never acts on them by itself.
Everything you do with Waypoint also goes through Discord, under Discord's own privacy policy.
How long Waypoint keeps it

When a server removes Waypoint, everything kept for that server (levels, Diamonds, the shop, warnings, tickets, suggestions, parties, giveaways, invites and settings) is deleted 30 days later, unless the server adds Waypoint back before then.
Deleting your data
Ask in the Waypoint Discord server (discord.gg/wpw). We will delete what Waypoint keeps about you within 30 days: your linked Minecraft account and its history, your stats copies, and your levels, Diamonds, purchases, card theme, party and giveaway entries and votes, in every server.
Moderation records and tickets are kept by the servers they belong to, because those servers need them to stay safe. They are deleted when that server removes Waypoint, as above. Copies in backups are gone within 14 days.
Server staff can also remove your records in their own server, for example your warnings or your shop items.
Children
You must be old enough to use Discord in your country (at least 13) to use Waypoint. If you think a child under 13 has used Waypoint, tell us in the Waypoint Discord server and we will delete their data.
Security
Waypoint keeps its data in a private database that only we can reach. Passwords and keys stay out of logs and code, the bot only asks Discord for the permissions it needs, and every server's records are kept apart from every other server's.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the change in the Waypoint Discord server. Using Waypoint after a change means you accept the new version.
